UPDATED: HCR Schedule of Upcoming Controlled & Planned Construction Site Blasts

Today, Homer City Redevelopment (HCR) published its upcoming schedule of controlled and planned construction site blasts that have been approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s Bureau of Mining (PADEP).
HCR’s Pennsylvania trained, licensed, and approved contractor will conduct the permitted excavation sub-surface rock blasts at the HCR plant at approximately 12:00pm ET on the dates set forth below. The blasts may result in a blast noise and/or ground vibration in the ground that can be heard and/or felt in close proximity to HCR’s plant.
Monday, November 10th
Wednesday, November 12th
Friday, November 14th
Tuesday, November 18th
Thursday, November 20th
In addition, HCR’s Pennsylvania-trained, licensed, and approved contractor will also conduct permitted structural blasts at the HCR plant at the approximate dates and times listed below. These blasts may also result in a blast noise and/or ground vibration in the ground that can be heard and/or felt in close proximity to HCR’s plant.
Wednesday, November 12th – 4:45 pm
Saturday, November 22nd – between 6:45 am to 7:45 am
The dates and times noted above are subject to change depending upon a number of factors, including weather and site conditions, all in accordance with PADEP’s requirements. Further updates to the schedule will be published as they become available.
