The Homer City Energy Campus, soon to become the largest natural gas-powered plant in the country, will have the capacity to serve multiple large data center customers and supply power to thousands of homes on the local grid.

GE Vernova will supply seven state-of-the-art 7HA.02 high-efficiency natural gas turbines to power the Homer City Energy Campus. This full equipment order—announced at Senator Dave McCormick’s July 2025 Pennsylvania Energy and Innovation Summit—marks a major step toward delivering up to 4.4 GW of dependable energy capacity.
With the first delivery expected in 2026, Kiewit Power Constructors Co. – one of the premier engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors in the country – is leading construction. ​

Long-Term Partnership with EQT

Homer City Redevelopment announced in July 2025 an agreement for EQT Corporation (EQT) to serve as its exclusive partner to source and supply the natural gas needed to support the up to 4.4 GW natural gas facility.
