MEDIA ADVISORY: Homer City Redevelopment Successfully Completes Demolition of Remaining Portion of Coal Plant Stack

Homer City, PA, April 13, 2025 – Homer City Redevelopment (HCR) released the below statement today following the successful demolition of the remaining portion of the U3 stack at the former Homer City Generating Station:

“This morning, Homer City Redevelopment successfully completed the felling of the remaining portion of the U3 stack and the coal cleaning plant. This concludes the final step in the demolition of the stacks, and we are excited to continue forward in the development process for the new Homer City Energy Campus.”
